1. Convention Center — Exhibitor Move-In, Power Supply & Waste Handling Manual
Exhibitor Manual: Harborview Convention Center
Section: Move-In Scheduling, Power Supply & Waste Handling
Freight doors open to exhibitors on Thursday and Friday according to the dock marshal’s timetable. To ______ (1) move-in traffic and keep aisles clear for forklifts, arrive during your assigned 30-minute window, stage crates within your booth footprint, and remove private vehicles from the dock within ten minutes. Pallet jacks are available from the service desk; steel-toe shoes are recommended in loading areas. Electrical drops must be ordered in advance; only 12-gauge or heavier extension cords are permitted, and cords that cross walkways must be taped with low-profile cable covers. Open flames, helium balloons, and fog machines are not allowed. Fabric backdrops must carry a current flame-retardant tag. Sound demonstrations should remain under 70 dB at the aisle line to avoid disruption.
During the spring show, crews reported blocked egress routes, unlabeled crates, and overflowing skids of shrink wrap near the compactors. ______ (2), floor managers will perform aisle sweeps every hour, unlabeled freight may be redirected to the marshaling yard, and recycling bins for stretch film and corrugated cardboard will be stationed at each hall entrance. Night security patrols deter theft, but valuables should be removed or locked in cases at closing. Exhibitors are responsible for returning rental furniture to the booth and reporting damage to the service desk before teardown begins.
Marshaling yard access opens ______ (3) 8:00 a.m.; drivers should check the board for their dock call and keep hazard lights on while queued. Teardown starts after the hall is cleared of attendees; early dismantling is prohibited. Food sampling requires a permit from the health office and single-use utensils. ______ (4)

(4) Which sentence best completes the text at blank (4)?
Exhibitors who block fire lines, abandon packing materials, or ignore dock times may have their damage deposits forfeited and future dock access restricted.
Exhibitors who complete teardown early may request a larger booth for next year.
Because forklifts operate near the dock, the center will provide complimentary storage for all crates.
These rules apply only to exhibitors who ordered electrical drops after the deadline.
